Pocket Router released by D-Link

D-Link has introduced a multi function pocket router for wireless access on the fly. The router, D-Link Wireless N Pocket Router/Access Point (DAP-1350), can be used as a wireless router to create an 802.11n Wi-Fi network or as an access point to add Wi-Fi to an existing wired network for connectivity on the go. The DAP-1350 comes with a warranty of one year and its estimated market price is Rs. 5,999.

The router is backward compatible with Wireless G devices and supports power over USB in wireless client mode. This allows a PC to power the device in the absence of AC power. With its WPS push button security one can add devices and secure the network. The SharePort Technology can be used for sharing USB printer or storage over the network in router mode.

One can also connect an Ethernet-ready device like a desktop PC or Xbox 360 to a Wi-Fi network through the router.
